The University of Birmingham launches Lord Bilimoria scholarship in India

In the recent state of affairs, the University of Birmingham has launched a fully-funded Lord Karan Bilimoria (Chancellor’s) scholarship in India to encourage youth.

Lord Karan Bilimoria (Chancellor’s) scholarship is a fully-funded scholarship launched for Indian students. This scholarship will provide a waiver of 100% of the tuition fee along with coverage of accommodation expenses for the winners. The University is launching this prestigious scholarship to give Indian students a chance to get mentoring opportunities from leading alumni.

The scholarship is open for Indian students applying for postgraduate studies at the campus of Birmingham University in Dubai and Birmingham (UK). In addition, four students will be granted a runner-up award of 5000 GBP against their tuition fees.  Students possessing excellent academic proficiency in overcoming challenging circumstances are eligible for this scholarship. Additionally, students should also have innovative ideas to deal with complex problems faced by India and UK.

Students applying for this scholarship are required to submit a three-minute long video answering two questions including:

  • What challenges have you overcome in life?
  • What innovations will you suggest to solve the problem faced by India and the UK?

According to lord Bilimoria, the education partner of the university in India encourages excellent individuals to join the University of Birmingham either at the campus of Dubai or Birmingham. Certain subject areas are likely to get benefited from this scholarship including Engineering, Physical Science, Life and Environmental Sciences, Social science, Medical and dental sciences, arts, and law.
