The TOEFL has undergone some significant adjustments, including a reduction in the exam by an hour, and the score will be shown right after the completion of the test.

The Educational Testing Service (ETS) has announced several changes in the conduct of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). According to the latest news, the duration of the TOEFL iBT will be shortened by an hour from now on. Earlier, the time required to complete the test was three hours. However, now anyone can complete the test within two hours.

TOEFL has implemented a number of significant changes in order to comply with the new rules. TOEFL will have a new and modern writing and academic discussion task that is going to replace the traditional independent writing task. There are changes in the reading section of the TOEFL exam. The reading section has also been shortened. All the unscored test questions will be removed from the exam.

Further, the registration process has been simplified. Now, any test taker just needs to create an account and register for the test. Registration will now begin in July 2023. The major change that the authorities have brought forth is the display of scores right after examination. In addition to this, test takers will receive real-time notification in relation to changes in scores. Even the test takers who were previously registered for the test have the option to reschedule the test date free of charge.
