UK government launches UK-India Young Professionals Scheme 2025, allowing Indian students and young professionals to live and work in the UK for up to 2 years.
The program, which is part of a mutual agreement between the UK and India, permits Indian citizens aged 18 to 30 to apply for one of the 3,000 available positions. The application procedure starts with a ballot that is set to open on February 18 and close on February 20.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the scheme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Be between 18-30 years old
- Qualification: Hold a UK bachelor’s degree level or above
- Savings: Have proof of £2,530 (approximately Rs 2,70,824) in savings to support themselves in the UK
- Family: Not have any children under the age of 18 who live with them or whom they are financially responsible for.
Application Process
The application process is free and successful entries will be picked at random. Applicants will need to provide their name, date of birth, passport details, phone number, and email address.
Once selected, applicants will have 90 days to apply for the visa online, provide their biometrics, and pay the associated fees, including the visa application fee and immigration health surcharge.
