The survey indicated that 45% of participants noted a decline in their views on possible future residency and immigration prospects, while 33% shared comparable worries about career opportunities after graduation. The survey additionally examined students’ worries while studying in Australia. Although financial pressures continued to be a primary worry, there was a significant reduction in concern in this regard compared to the last year. Housing challenges continued to be a major concern, although fewer students indicated trouble securing accommodation compared to 2023.

Austrade indicates that the gradual alleviation of worries regarding financial and housing matters might signify a progressively enhancing economic condition in Australia. Nonetheless, the survey also emphasized the necessity for ongoing assistance for international students, as 58% of participants mentioned taking steps to cope with financial strain and 54% stated they would increase their work hours if permitted.

In general, the survey offers important perspectives on the intricate and changing requirements of international students in Australia. As the nation adapts to shifts in visa regulations and living expenses, it is crucial to prioritize assistance for international students to help them succeed in their education and future endeavors.
