Increased engagement and cooperation between India and England has been made possible by a historic 10-day tour of delegates from Indian institutions to New Zealand. Representatives from prestigious Indian colleges met with their counterparts from five top New Zealand universities during the early December tour.
The team incuded members from Vidyalankar School of International Education, Parul University, and Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies. They interacted with professors and officials from Victoria University of Wellington, the University of Auckland, the University of Canterbury, the University of Waikato, and the University of Otago while on the tour.
The goal of the tour was to investigate new possibilities for cooperation, such as research partnerships, internships, and student and faculty mobility. In a big move to improve bilateral relations in higher education, the group also had meetings with officials from the high commissioners of India and New Zealand.
The tour was praised as a great chance to showcase the finest features of New Zealand’s universities and look into potential collaborations by Dr. Preeti Nair, Director of International Relations and Research at Parul University. “Engaging with university leaders, Education New Zealand, and the High Commissions was invaluable, and the cultural insights added a rich dimension to the visit,” he said.
The journey is in line with India’s National Education Policy, which aims to establish the nation as a major international center for internationalization and higher education. Students, faculty, and institutions from both nations stand to gain from increased collaboration and cooperation as India and New Zealand deepen their higher education relations.
