UK and Australia Lead the Way in Enhancing Student Enquiry Experience:

Date:

The student inquiry experience provided by educational institutions in the UK and Australia has significantly improved, according to a recent survey. In a study analogous to mystery shopping, international students enumerated 102 institutions across the globe. The results indicated an improvement in overall satisfaction for Australian institutions of 18% and for UK schools of 15%.
As the best improved institution, the University of Edinburgh showed a 50% increase in satisfaction from its 2022 ranking. The cooperative efforts of numerous teams throughout the institution were responsible for this success, according to Katrina Castle, Deputy Director of Admissions and Applicant Experience.

With an astounding 86% of its institutions scoring higher than the worldwide average, Australia topped the global scoreboard. Nine out of ten inquiries in both the UK and Australia are being promptly responded to, which is partly responsible for the increase in satisfaction.

According to the survey, institutions in Australia and New Zealand outperformed other universities in terms of providing compelling and pertinent responses, with half of the correspondence piqueing mystery shoppers’ attention. By comparison, this was only accomplished by European colleges 1/6 of the time. A source says that colleges with a strong emphasis on student participation and a sense of value have a big advantage when it comes to recruiting.

The results coincide with notable changes in policy at well-liked research locations. While Australia’s proposed ESOS Bill may limit overseas enrolments to 270,000 in 2025, raising questions about the financial feasibility for some providers, Canada has tightened its restrictions on the number of international students it accepts.
This study emphasizes how crucial it is to give student participation and inquiry-based learning top priority in the cutthroat world of international education.
