The UK launches GREAT Scholarships 2024 for Indian students:

Date:

The UK has announced the GREAT Scholarships 2024 programme, offering Indian students the opportunity to pursue master’s degrees in various fields starting in autumn 2024. This scholarship initiative, in collaboration with 25 UK universities and the British Council, aims to support Indian students in their academic pursuits. A total of 26 postgraduate GREAT scholarships will be awarded, each valued at a minimum of £10,000, to cover tuition fees for the 2024–25 academic year.

These scholarships are available across a wide range of disciplines, including Marketing, Finance, Psychology, Design, Business, Humanities, and more. Following are the universities at which a student can avail of a postgraduate scholarship:

Additionally, there are two scholarships specifically designated for Justice and Law studies, offered in partnership with the Ministry of Justice. Students interested in areas such as human rights, criminal justice, property law, and commercial law can apply for these scholarships at Queen’s University Belfast and the University of Bristol.

Furthermore, there are four scholarships available for science and technology studies across different UK universities for the academic session 2024–25. The overarching goal of the GREAT Scholarships Programme is to facilitate access to UK education for Indian students and strengthen the ties between the UK and India.

To be eligible for the GREAT Scholarship, applicants must be Indian citizens, meet the English language requirements for studying in the UK, hold an undergraduate degree, and be willing to maintain contact with the British Council and their Higher Education Institution (HEI) as ambassadors for the scholarship. Moreover, successful applicants will also be expected to engage with the UK as scholars and attend networking events for all UK-based GREAT Scholars.
